A new food court with seating for around 1,000 diners has opened at Korea’s Mohegan INSPIRE as the US$1.6 billion integrated resort edges closer to full operations.
According to details posted on the company’s social media channels, “OASIS Gourmet Village” located with the INSPIRE Mall opened on 10 March as part of a collaboration with domestic space branding company “Glow Seoul”.
The food court is based on the concept of the “World Tree”, it said, referenced as the source of nature, with guests able to wander through a “unique space that symbolically represents each continent, North, South, East, and West [to create] an experience that feels like going on a gastronomic journey.”
Dining options within the food court range from Korean specialties to Japanese, Chinese, Italian and a burger store, among others.
“We plan to provide a special gastronomic experience to both Koreans and foreigners through creative space planning and food menus with different charms,” the IR operator said via its posts.
Mohegan INSPIRE held a soft opening in November last year and launched casino operations on 5 March this year but said at the time that some remaining facilities including its retail mall, outdoor experiential space, international food court, immersive content exhibition hall and indoor children’s playground would open by mid-2024.
