Lotte Tour’s Korean integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower, saw both its casino and non-gaming revenues fall slightly in March following a strong start to 2024.
According to information filed with the Korea Exchange early Tuesday, casino revenues declined by 7.4% month-on-month to KRW22.2 billion (US$16.4 million) although this was 263% higher than the same period last year. Of this, table game revenues fell by 8.3% sequentially to KRW20.9 billion (US$15.4 million) while machine revenues were up by 10.3% to KRW1.29 billion (US$953,455).
However, table drop of KRW121.9 billion (US$90.1 million) was up 15.6% over February and 26.5% over March 2023.
Hotel revenue was down by 10.2% month-on-month and 4.1% year-on-year to KRW5.5 billion (US$4.1 million).
For the first three months of 2024 combined, casino sales have reached KRW70.0 billion (US$51.7 million), up 328% year-on-year, while hotel revenue fell by 5.2% to KRW16.8 billion (US$12.4 million).
Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high and features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters, offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
