Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has is said to have hired the head of Citigroup’s gaming and lodging coverage, Ari Glazer, as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.
Bloomberg said Glazer – currently head of gaming and lodging investment banking – has already been locked in to replace departing CFO Carol Anderson, who recently announced that she would not renew her contract when it expires on 31 March. While neither Mohegan nor Citi have commented, Bloomberg cited “people with knowledge of the matter” as having confirmed the news.
The departure of Anderson and reported arrival of Glazer comes just weeks after Mohegan held the Grand Opening of its new Korean integrated resort, Mohegan INSPIRE in Incheon, with the phase one development coming at a cost of US$1.6 billion. The foreigner-only casino at Mohegan INSPIRE opened on 3 February.
Mohegan operates nine casino resorts, with the majority being located in the United States or Canada but is best known for its original Mohegan Sun property in Connecticut.
