South Korean foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure reported casino revenue of KRW33.7 billion (US25.3 million) in February, down 8.4% year-on-year but up 71.9%% compared with January.
The February result included table game revenue of KRW31.2 billion (US$23.4 million), up 88.9% month-on-month, and machine revenue of KRW2.50 billion (US$1.88 million), down 19.2%.
This brings casino sales for the first two months of 2024 combined to KRW53.3 billion (US$40.0 million), up down 22.6% on the same period last year.
February drop of KRW291.6 billion (US$219 million) was down 3.9%% month-on-month but up 39.1% compared with February 2023, while combined drop for the first two months of the year is up 23.4% to KRW594.9 billion (US$445 million).
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea and Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
Fellow foreigner-only casino operators Paradise Co and Lotte Tour also reported small declines in casino sales for November.
