Korean’ foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure has reported annual casino revenues of KRW397.4 billion (US$303.3 million) in 2023, up 49.8% year-on-year and aided by a strong finish to the year.
In a Wednesday filing, GKL revealed December casino sales of KRW34.9 billion (US$26.6 million), representing a 14.4% year-on-year improvement and 25.3% higher than November. This included table games revenue of KRW32.0 billion (US$24.4 million), up 28.5% month-on-month, and machine revenue of KRW2.98 billion (US$2.27 million), down 1.0%.
December table drop of KRW366.6 billion (US$280 million) was 32.2% higher than in November. For FY23, table drop reached KRW3.39 trillion (US$2.59 billion), up 70.8% year-on-year.
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea and Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
