Industry trade event MGS Entertainment Show, originally known as Macao Gaming Show, returns today with its first live in-person show in four years at Galaxy International Convention Centre.
The two-day exhibition will run under the theme “The Asian Pioneer Returns”, covering a total area of around 4,000 square meters and welcoming an anticipated 5,000 professional visitors from locally and abroad.
Also returning today is MGS Summit, a one-day educational event bringing together leading voices in the Macau and Asian gaming industries. The full MGS Summit program can be found here.
While the MGS Entertainment Show expo has not been held since November 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MGS Summit did run in 2021 and 2022 as an online-only event but will return as a full in-person gathering in 2023.
With the return of MGS and several other Asian gaming trade shows as in-person events through 2022 and 2023, all Asian gaming trade shows have now returned to live in-person formats, signalling the conclusive end to pandemic-affected online and hybrid trade shows.
IAG recently spoke with representatives of five of the major exhibitors of the show – LT Game, Light & Wonder, Aristocrat, Interblock and Angel Macau – who provided their insights into the return of MGS and what to expect from their respective exhibition stands.
MGS kicks off with an Opening Ceremony from 10am today, while MGS Summit begins from 11am with a Keynote Address from Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer, Macau for Galaxy Entertainment Group.
