Representatives of all six Macau concessionaires will offer their unique insights today when they take part in a high-level panel discussion on the evolution of Macau at MGS Summit.
The panel, titled, “Pioneering a New Macau”, will explore the day-to-day impact of key requirements under Macau’s new 10-year gaming concessions, specifically the transition from a VIP market to one focused firmly on mass, and a Macau SAR government determined to see diversification of the Macau economy and requiring a colossal MOP$109 billion (US$13.6 billion) to be spent over the decade on non-gaming initiatives as wide-ranging as MICE; entertainment; sports, art and culture; community, health and maritime tourism and much more.
It will also look at how concessionaires are impacted by rapid changes in technology via an increasingly digital world, a desire for more international visitation to Macau, and a changing international landscape for the Asia-Pacific resort industry.
To be moderated by Professor Davis Fong of the University of Macau, the six panelists represent Macau’s gaming concessionaires are:
- Craig Fullalove, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, Wynn Macau
- Frank McFadden, Chief Operating Officer – Gaming & Hospitality, SJM Resorts
- Buddy Lam, EVP, Corporate Office, Galaxy Entertainment Group
