Philippines developer Megaworld will open the country’s largest hotel complex this year, to be located within the Westside City development in Manila’s Entertainment City.
The 19-story, two-tower Grand Westside Hotel will feature 1,530 rooms, with the first tower scheduled to open its doors before the end of the year and the second tower in 2024. Westside City, covering 31 hectares in Parañaque, will also be home to a US$1 billion casino-hotel being developed by LET Group subsidiary Suntrust Resort Holdings.
“Once it opens, Grand Westside Hotel will become the biggest hotel property in our portfolio and in the entire country to date,” said Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
“It will be just a short drive away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), and promises to delight guests with wonderful views of the world-famous Manila Bay sunset as well as the skylines of Makati, Manila and Taguig City.”
The hotel will feature a two- level retail and commercial space covering 1,995 square meters of floor area, while the fifth floor will incorporate generous amounts of open space, including an expansive pool area with views of Manila Bay, a children’s pool, gazebo, Zen garden and outdoor seating area.
Inside there will be four function rooms, a fitness gym and massage rooms, plus four dining outlets and an Executive Lounge exclusive to VIP guests.
