MGM China’s Chairperson and Executive Director Bill Hornbuckle and Co-Chairperson and Executive Director Pansy Ho were both re-elected to the Board of Directors on Thursday at the company’s Annual General Meeting.
But there was another changing of the guard with Chen Yau Wong tendering his resignation as an executive director, replaced by Jeny Lau.
Lau, 64, has been Chief Operating Officer and Director of private family office entity Grand Paradise Group (HK) Limited since 2015 and a member of the MGM China’s Compliance Committee since 2021, the company said. She was previously COO and Director of Phoenix Property Investors, a regional private equity real estate fund house, where she was in charge of all the finance and accounting, back-of-house operations, fund administration and project financing, and was at one stage Director of Corporate Finance at Hong Kong’s Shun Tak Holdings Limited.
Thursday’s AGM saw a total of four directors re-elected, including Daniel Taylor and Chee Ming Liu. All four received strong support from shareholders with Hornbuckle earning approval from 99.6% of votes cast, Ms Ho 97.5%, Taylor 97.6% and Chee almost 100%.
