The AGEM Index – a monthly stock performance guide comprising 12 global gaming suppliers – grew by 6.4% or 51.54 points to 862.93 points in July, with 10 of the 12 index companies reporting stock price increases during the month.
The improvement, which comes after the AGEM Index fell by 8.1% in June, was led by Crane Co and Aristocrat Leisure Ltd who both recorded strong increases in July. Crane Co reported a 13.76-point gain to the index as a result of a 13.0% increase in its stock price while Aristocrat contributed an 11.60-point gain to the index due to a 2.7% increase in its stock price.
The largest negative contribution to the index was from PlayAGS Inc, which fell 8.1% to provide a 0.27-point loss for the AGEM Index.
All three major US stock indices saw month-over-month increases in July after slipping across the board in the June. The NASDAQ rose by 12.3% month-on-month, the S&P 500 by 9.1% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average by 6.7%.
