The number of confirmed cases of COVID in Macau has grown to 391, including a 60-year-old woman with difficulty in breathing who has been classified a “serious case” by the Health Bureau.
According to the Novel Coronavirus Response Coordination Center, a 60-year-old woman’s chest CT scan showed pneumonia in both lungs. The woman has received three doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.
Head of Macau’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Leong Iek Hou, said there are currently 13 red-coded areas and 51 yellow-coded areas in Macau, involving a total of 2,641 and 3,732 people respectively.
“The number of confirmed cases in Macau has increased by nearly 100 in one day, and 46 cases were detected during isolation. The number of cases is still on the rise,” Leong said.
According to the Response Coordination Center, those who have a yellow health code in Macau can go to work if they are vaccinated and after communicating with their employer or department head.
