The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced a revamped global marketing department to be headed by long-time executive and recent Vice President of WPT Europe, Hermance Blum.
Two months after the WPT was privatized, the new-look department will see Blum tasked with the development and execution of a global marketing plan to increase overall awareness of the WPT brand.
The company said Blum has secured long-term strategic partnerships over the past decade which established the Tour in more than 12 countries and successfully delivered incremental growth of the business in Europe.
“I could not think of a better person to lead this new department,” said World Poker Tour CEO, Adam Pliska.
“Hermance brings a wealth of experience, a passion for poker and an amazing vision of how to elevate the WPT brand to new heights.”
Two more new roles have been created under Blum, with veteran WPT anchor Lynn Gilmartin adding the role of Social Content Director to her list of duties, overseeing all social media operations for the WPT. She will also continue in her role as anchor, working WPT televised events alongside Vince Van Patten and Tony Dunst.
Joining the WPT team for the first time is media veteran Lance Bradley as Director of Media and Player Communications. Bradley was most recently President and Editor-in-Chief of PocketFives.
