Melco Resorts & Entertainment says the overall vaccination rate for its Macau employees has now reached almost 65% following the launch of a second onsite outreach vaccination session.
Part of Melco’s Get the Jab vaccination incentive program, the session runs for five days from 26 to 30 July at Studio City Event Center, where staff, their family and friends can be vaccinated to protect against COVID-19.
As part of its program to support the Macao SAR Government’s efforts towards community-wide vaccination, Melco will next week conduct a lucky draw where one fully vaccinated employee will win a MOP$1 million prize. Three prizes of MOP$100,000 and a MOP$200,000 prize have already been awarded, while all Melco employees to complete both vaccinations will receive MOP$1,000 each. Shuttle transportation has been provided to allow employees to attend vaccination appointments, along with two full days of paid vaccine leave.
Melco is one of a number of Macau concessionaires to have achieved encouraging results from its vaccination program, with both Sands China and Wynn Resorts having passed 50% over the past week.
Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ms Ao Ieong U, said last week that Macau’s vaccination rate had reached 40% with more than 460,000 jabs administered.
