New Zealand’s SkyCity Entertainment Group has announced further restructuring to its leadership team with three internal appointments across its flagship properties in Auckland and Adelaide.
The appointments include current Executive General Manager Hospitality at SkyCity Auckland, Callum Mallett, being promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer New Zealand where he takes responsibility for the company’s New Zealand business as well as day-to-day operations at SkyCity Auckland.
David Christian, currently General Manager of SkyCity Adelaide, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer Australia while Matthew Ballesty, currently Executive General Manager Gaming, has been appointed Chief Casino Officer with responsibility for casino operations at SkyCity Auckland and providing strategic direction for all gaming products group-wide.
The internal appointments, to take effect from 1 February, follow major changes to the corporate leadership team in November that saw Michael Ahearne replace Graeme Stephens as CEO, and Rob Hamilton and Liza McNally step down from their respective roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
