Macau announced Monday that it would impose mandatory 14-day quarantine on all individuals who had been in three districts in Shanghai and Tianjin in the past two weeks.
Shanghai found one new local COVID-19 infection on Monday, with a worker at the Pudong International Airport testing positive. The Shanghai authority urgently announced that his hometown, Zhuqiao township at Pudong District in Shanghai, as a medium-risk area.
Tianjin entered “wartime” mode after a new local case was detected on Sunday. The patient is a worker at a cold storage facility in the port, and Binhai New Area district and the relevant port are now listed as medium-risk areas.
Any individuals who have been in these three areas within the previous 14 days and have entered Macau are required to undergo a two-week quarantine from 10 November.
