Suncity Group’s Philippines subsidiary, SunTrust Home Developers Inc (SunTrust) together with the Resorts World Philippines Cultural Heritage Foundation Inc (RWPCHFI) and gaming regulator PAGCOR, have distributed Php50 million worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to 40 public hospitals in Luzon.
According to a PAGCOR media release late Sunday, the PPE included 50,000 pieces each of PPE suits, N95 masks, medical face masks, medical goggles, medical gloves and medical shoe covers. All were distributed last Thursday.
“Westside City Resorts World, Inc, a co-licensee of Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, reached out to property developer Suncity Group to ask for donations,” said PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, Andrea Domingo.
“Fortunately, they immediately responded and they agreed to donate Php50 million worth of PPE for hospitals here in the Philippines.”
The donation of PPE was made by Suncity Group, with RWPCHFI and PAGCOR working together on the logistics of handling the shipment and distributing to hospitals.
PAGCOR noted that the four other Entertainment City licensees, Resorts World Manila, Solaire Resort and Casino, City of Dreams Manila and Okada Manila, have also donated food packs and medical supplies to hospitals in Luzon through their respective foundations.
Since 22 March, PAGCOR and its licensees have been distributing food packs and medical supplies to frontline healthcare workers as well as to Local Government Units in Luzon affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
