Macau has not recorded a new case of COVID-19 for 32 days as of Sunday, with the total number of confirmed cases holding steady at 45 since 8 April.
One more patient recovered on Sunday, meaning 41 have recovered from the coronavirus. Just four patients remain in hospital.
Health officials explained that the remaining patients have now been in hospital for seven weeks and are all in good condition without symptoms, however they are still testing positive for COVID-19. They won’t be allowed to leave until they produce two negative test results.
There is also just one Macau hotel still being used for quarantine purposes, Pousada Marina Infante Hotel, where 162 people are under quarantine, comprising 113 local residents, 24 non-resident workers and 25 visitors.
