There seems to be a trend emerging here. For the second week in a row, the gaming floors of Macau’s biggest IRs averaged just 15 players during any given midweek afternoon and for the second week in a row, MGM Macau proved to be the busiest of them all (albeit the best of a bad bunch!)
IAG walked the main gaming floor of 11 of the SAR’s largest IRs this week to conduct a headcount on players.
All counts were conducted on the afternoons of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the IRs visited being The Venetian Macao, Parisian Macao, Sands Cotai Central, City of Dreams, Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai, Galaxy Macau, Grand Lisboa, Wynn Macau, MGM Macau and StarWorld.
On average, each gaming floor had around six players on tables and nine players on slots.
The busiest gaming floor when IAG visited was MGM Macau with nine table game players and 27 on slots, followed by Galaxy Macau with 16 at the tables and eight on slots.
Sands Cotai Central, which is undergoing major renovation works which will see it transformed into The Londoner Macao, was again the quietest with just a single player on tables and another on slots.
