CHAIRMAN
Meg-Star Group

POWER SCORE: 818
POSITION LAST YEAR: NONE

CLAIMS TO FAME
Has led Meg-Star’s rapid expansion in the Macau VIP space

Macau-based VIP operator Meg-Star Group has good reason to be pleased. When China launched its graft crackdown in 2013, one of the byproducts was a consolidation of the VIP gaming market with dozens of smaller or less prepared junket operators forced out of the market.

Not so Meg-Star, which seized the opportunity to strategically grow its business.

The company currently operates nine VIP clubs in Macau.

Yet it is just one of the many business arms of Meg-Star Group, which also include real estate, aircraft leasing, premium retail, IT, cultural art, F&B and wine distribution.

Meg-Star’s Macau VIP Clubs include those in City of Dreams, The Venetian Macao and Altira while internationally the company’s portfolio stretches to Australia, the Philippines and Russia.
