Macau-based gaming machine distributor Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited (APE) has launched its 2019 paid summer internship program in conjunction with the University of Macau.
The program, which runs from June through August, offers a full-time internship studying International Integrated Resort Management, specializing in Gaming Management, at the University of Macau. In total the internship will incorporate around 480 working hours in which time the student will not only study but also be placed in different APE departments such as Sales & Marketing, Administration & Human Resource, and Technical.
APE has promised to give any students who complete the program with outstanding results priority when it comes to being given an opportunity at full-time employment within the company.
According to APE, the program – now in its second year – is targeted at students from local higher education institutions who are interested in the gaming industry and particularly the electronic gaming equipment (EGEs) segment.
“We are honored to support this meaningful program again,” said APE CEO and Executive Director Herman Ng.
“APE has been investing resources over the years to nurture young people including our junior staff because the sense of accomplishment and self-worth of the younger generation can bring about positive changes. We are proud to join hands with University of Macau and share our experience about EGEs and the gaming industry. It is anticipated that the students will come back to be an employee after they graduate.”
