The amount of revenue gained by the government from Macau’s six gaming concessionaires is tracking ahead of budget through the first four months of the year at MOP$39.59 billion (US$4.90 billion).
The four-month total, representing 40.2% of the authorized full year budget for 2019 of MOP$98.57 billion, is also 4.5% higher than the same period in 2018 despite Macau’s GGR suffering year-on-year declines in three of four months to start the year.
The government’s concession revenue through April 2019 includes MOP$39.42 billion in gaming revenue and MOP$170.1 million in concession revenue from public utility services.
Total government revenue from all sources comprised MOP$43.36 billion for the first four months of the year, with the concessions contributing 91.3%.
