Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited has announced the debut of Konami’s Fortune Cup horse racing machine in two Macau casinos.

Fortune Cup is a multi-station mechanical horse racing game with real-time digital video animation, combining the mechanics of traditional arcade horse racing with the experience of casino-table gaming.

It comprises a central 274cm-wide race track for eight horses, which can move freely and independently across the course. There are 12 high-definition touchscreen terminals for players to place bets and view horse odds, race statistics and comprehensive bet options for win, place and quinella.

Fortune Cup is also equipped with a large LCD screen to offer spectators sports broadcasts in real time. Chinese voice-overs for these broadcasts are jointly produced by electronic gaming equipment supplier APE and renowned Hong Kong horse racing commentator Samuel Hung.

“Fortune Cup is an electronic table game that is the only one of its kind in Macau,” said APE CEO and Executive Director, Herman Ng.

“We are getting a lot of positive feedback from operators of this arcade style horse racing game from casino floors. I believe it will be one of the most popular casino games in 2019.”
