Two local SMEs contracted by Sands China are currently holding roadshows at the back-of-house areas of Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao, Sands Cotai Central and The Parisian Macao as part of Sands China’s Local Small, Medium and Micro Suppliers Support Programme, the company has announced.
The roadshows aim to offer more business opportunities to local small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), micro-enterprises, young entrepreneurs, and “Made-in-Macau” enterprises.
Local SME suppliers Fotonice and Power House Technology are displaying more than 40 products to Sands China’s 28,000 team members between 26 February and 8 March, offering them at a discounted price.
Fotonice is retailer of products such as cameras, lenses, instant film and photo printers, as well as other electronic accessories and appliances. Managing Director Lou Cheok Weng said, “Working with Sands China has been a great experience for our company and we’re glad to be one of its suppliers. Becoming a supplier has been a very positive development for our business. We’re also very pleased at the opportunity these roadshows provide for us to connect directly with Sands China employees to introduce our products to them and hopefully have them as new customers.”
Micro-enterprise Power House Technology Limited sells smart phones, tablets, laptop computers, external hard drives, and other related electronic accessories. Dennis Ho, Deputy GM, said: “Sands China has been a very reliable client for us to work with. We’re very happy with the resulting increase in our business, and also appreciate the chance we have to sell directly to Sands China staff at these roadshows. Communicating directly with consumers in the hotel industry helps us understand the characteristics, consumption power and shopping habits of this target group, and that helps us adjust our marketing strategy and product selection.”

Sands China regularly holds roadshows for its team members, which benefit SMEs by giving them access to direct business opportunities with customers, while giving Sands China’s team members a chance to enjoy discounted offers.
Sands China’s Local Small, Medium and Micro Suppliers Support Programme was jointly announced in July 2015 with the Macao Chamber of Commerce.
