SPIELO International is targeting expansion with an array of new games and an innovative new system
SPIELO International is taking the opportunity of G2E Asia to reinforce its commitment to its Asian customers with a newly strengthened sales team and an exciting lineup of innovations in slots and systems that will be on display at long-time distributor RGB’s Stand 527.
Among the highlights on the games side: three new titles in the Egyptian Gold series, the company’s first progressive link featuring Episodic Gaming; Kitty Cash, the latest addition to the portfolio of multilevel progressive links; and two new suites of diversity games, Absolute Azure and Gambling Green.
One of the unique elements of the new Egyptian Gold games—Cleora, Nefturi and Ramosis—is that as players unlock more features, and additional bet options become available, they can save their progress from one game session and reactivate it at the next session. When they reach the highest status an additional award is randomly revealed. An exciting five-level “Progressive Playoff” offers them a chance at multiple progressive jackpots.
Kitty Cash, outfitted on the stylish Oxygen cabinet, features the cuddly cats from Artlist Collection’s internationally recognized brand “The Cat”. On top of the three supporting games—KC Royals, KC Playgrounds and KC Music—the multi-level progressive features two bonus rounds: “Mystery Cat” and “Kitty Cash”.
The innovative diversity multi-games allow players to select their preferred game types with different volatility levels.
It is the only multigame featuring standalone progressives as part of the game suites. Absolute Azure and Gambling Green each feature up to 10 games grouped into categories that can be selected by players via touch screen. Roulette is now available as a selection also.
Visitors to the show also will get to meet Maria Garcia, the company’s new Macau-based sales director, and newly appointed general manager of Casino Systems for Asia Pacific, Lai Fatt Chiang.
Ms Garcia has worked as a distributor for several slot manufacturers. Before joining SPIELO International she was sales and marketing director for Asia Pioneer Entertainment. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese and English. Marcel Heutmekers, SPIELO International´s Senior Director and General Manager for Asia and Latin America, says of her, “We believe she’ll become a key person in our long-term strategy for the Asian market.”
Lai Fatt Chiang, based in Malaysia, has 10 years’ experience in all aspects of Asian gaming, having served with SPIELO International’s Games Division and as group general manager for RGB International. He speaks fluent Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien. He “demonstrates SPIELO International’s ongoing commitment to increasing support for its existing casino systems customers in Asia,” says Marc Attal, Managing Director for SPIELO International Casino Systems. “Our intent is to sustain and support the growth we’re enjoying in Asia by optimizing our local presence for the new forth coming opportunities.
Mr Chiang has helped oversee systems installations since coming on at Walkerhill in South Korea, in two slot clubs in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, and Pagcor in 11 venues in the Philippines comprising the full solution of slots and tables,”. “We will do another four to five locations in the next three to four months in the Philippines,” he notes. “We see the significance of systems becoming greater.”
Indeed, SPIELO International will be showing the complete range of its GALAXIS casino systems solutions with a special focus on the Star TABLES, Star JACKPOTS and Star BONUS modules.
GALAXIS’ modules are connected across the gaming floor via the advanced CRYSTAL. net network, which includes a touch-screen player interface at the game for more powerful communications and advertising and an array of other services, like cash wallet, a smarter, greener and affordable cashless payment method that provides both casinos and players with the security and convenience of a smart card at a fraction of the cost.
“With our systems, everything is modular so casinos can just plug and play,” says Mr Chiang. “And we allow the customers to choose the modules they want, which many of the major systems do not allow. For example, Genting Group have been using our hardware for many years. I don’t think other companies will just sell you the hardware. If you need only our slot portions, we will just put in the slot portions. If you need only jackpots, we can do that.”
Star JACKPOTS manages mystery and progressive local- and wide-area systems. The top-performing, turn-key WAP system is installed at casinos in 16 countries throughout the world. SPIELO International Casino Systems also manage the world’s largest WAP in nearly 100 casinos in France with a record jackpot of 9,420,902 euros last year, and the second largest jackpot hit this month
“Jackpots are one of our key strengths in systems,” says Mr Chiang. “Our system can actually run all the jackpots—progressive, mystery—without the need for an external controller. Some customers use a system, but they still need an external controller to run the jackpot. Our system can generate all of it, which in the end saves the customer money. “
TimeBomb FEVER, a new addition tothe Star BONUS line, is designed to provide a boost during intervals of low activity on the floor. It allows the casino to guarantee that a jackpot hits within a specified time period and configure the number of times the jackpot will hit.
At G2E Asia there will be demonstrations of innovations such as FloorMaster, a mobile application for slot floor managers on desktop touch screens and PC tablets displaying a map of the slot floor showing real-time and historical data at the touch of the screen.
The company also is taking the opportunity of G2E Asia to offer exclusive demonstrations of SYSTEM2go, its new networking solution for smaller casino, slot hall and arcade environments which can be single site or multi-site operations. With minimal effort, SYSTEM2go wires an entire floor in a Web-based network that provides automated readings, reports and additional features depending on the package selected. Four packages are available: Advantage, Gold, Platinum TK (for use with tickets) and Platinum CC (for use with magnetic-stripe cards), each providing different levels of features, including accounting, jackpots, cashless payment systems and player-tracking functionalities.
Mr Chiang sees the club markets of Malaysia, an ideal proving ground for SYSTEM2go.
“In Vietnam there are still a lot of those clubs that are without proper systems,” he says. “And in Singapore, all those private clubs are looking into systems. Player-tracking is a key. All these clubs don’t even track their players, and now they feel they need to use it more. In the Philippines, there are still a lot of venues running without systems. So that is another key market we are looking at.”
It’s about “different systems for different markets,” he says.
“We have a full-blown system for big-scale operations. We have simpler systems that are Web-based which can cater to outlets with less than 10 or 20 machines and which are so easy to install as well.”
As he puts it, “We do have our strengths in systems. One of them is, we are extremely flexible.”
