TransAct Technologies Inc., a global leader in printers for gaming industry applications, is to launch its new Epic 880™ printer at the International Gaming Expo in London this week.
The company says the compact Epic 880 is a thermal roll receipt printer specifically designed for the gaming industry and primarily targeting the international market. TransAct adds that the printer’s design builds on the knowledge gained from the successful Epic 430™ gaming printer.
The Epic 880’s features include the ability to print receipts up to 10 inches long, and the ability to accommodate a four- or six-inch paper roll. The printer is self-contained, with electronics built into the unit. TransAct says it is suitable for applications including video lottery terminals, sports betting machines, fixed odds betting terminals, amusement with prizes machines and ‘skills and prizes’ games.
TransAct will also be displaying all of its gaming and casino printers in its stand at Booth 4135 at Earls Court Exhibition Centre. The products include the Epic 430 gaming printer and the Epic 950® casino printer, as well as the new ServerPort™ device. The latter allows casino operators to upgrade and connect their existing Epic 950 printers to server-based gaming systems.
