Las Vegas Sands Corp. has stressed it has no plans to lay off casino workers in Macau, despite announcing a cut of around two percent in its 10,000-strong workforce on the Las Vegas Strip.
LVS spokesman Ron Reese said the shedding of more than 200 workers from The Venetian and Palazzo casino-hotels in the Nevada gambling hub was part of measures to save USD100 million annually across the company’s operations.
