The funeral of Dr Stanley Ho, who passed away on 26 May aged 98, will be held on 8 July, Hong Kong media is reporting.
According to Hong Kong newspaper Ming Poa, Michelle Cheng – a close friend of the family – revealed first details of the funeral, which will reportedly be held at Hong Kong Funeral Home for friends and family on Wednesday 8 July. Members of the public will be able to pay their respects on Thursday 9 July before Dr Ho is encoffined on Friday 10 July, although he won’t be buried until next year.
A memorial ceremony for Dr Ho will be held at Macau Tower in the two weeks following the funeral.
There has not been any official confirmation of the funeral from Dr Ho’s immediate family.
Renowned as the father of modern Macau, Dr Ho passed away last month at Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital after a long battle with illness.
