The Judiciary Police (PJ) has held a meeting with Macau’s six gaming concessionaires to discuss the enhancement of security at casinos and hotels and formulate incident response plans when the number of customers increases after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was held at PJ headquarters on Tuesday, with head of the PJ’s Gaming-related Crimes Division, Chan Chong In, and 12 representatives from the six gaming operators present at the meeting.
“As the stream of people increases as Macau’s epidemic situation becomes more stable, the PJ has discussed with gaming representatives strengthening the security of casinos and hotels, and formulating a response plan to streamline communication for quick reporting of the latest information and responding more effectively to unexpected incidents,” the PJ said in a statement.
In view of the coming typhoon season, the PJ also urged all gaming operators to make early preparations so they can respond quickly to ensure the safety of residents, visitors and employees.
