Macau junket operator Guangdong Group has donated HK$10 million (US$1.3 million) through the Guangdong Charity Foundation in order to support mainland China in fighting against the spread of the Coronavirus as well as preventive work in Macau.
The donation includes medical and preventive supplies which are urgently needed in the front line.
Meanwhile, Guangdong Group announced that it has cancelled all public activities, strengthened hygiene and cleanliness policies and provided free face masks for staff in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
The company is one of a number of gaming firms in Macau to have offered assistance, with others including the likes of Galaxy Entertainment Group, SJM Holdings and Meg-Star Group.
