Bad luck impacted Korean casino operator Paradise Group’s earnings in January, with year-on-year revenue enjoying only a marginal rise despite a 27.2% increase in table drop.
Paradise reported table drop of KRW557.68 billion (US$495.5 million) for the period across the company’s four key properties – up from KRW438.4 billion in January 2018 and by 6.6% from KRW523 billion in December.
Despite the strong year-on-year results, GGR grew by just 4.6% to KRW56.2 billion (US$49.9 million) with table revenue up 4.7% to KRW52.2 billion and EGM’s by 4.2% to KRW4 billion.
Paradise operates four properties in South Korea – Walkerhill, Jeju Grand, Busan Casino and Paradise City in Incheon.
