The Asian Poker Tour has signed a new two year agreement with Geutebruck Korea Inc, the company that operates the poker rooms at Paradise Casino Walkerhill in Seoul and Paradise City Incheon. The deal will see the APT hold events at both venues each year, with APT Korea Seoul 2018 already scheduled for 15 to 24 June and APT Korea Incheon for 10 to 19 August.
“We are thrilled to have APT back in Korea not only in Incheon next year but also at the Walkerhill Casino located in Seoul,” said Geutebruck Director Dom Choi. “APT Incheon was a huge success this year. Based on players’ feedback, we thought it would be great to offer another stop in Korea adding APT Seoul to the calendar so that the players can get more out of their experience in Korea.
“Seoul has so much to offer away from the tables and with stage two of Paradise City expected to launch next year which includes retail, entertainment venues and a night club it’s going to be an exciting 2018.”
The APT has hosted events in Korea since 2013 in Jeju and Daegu but will host its first event at Paradise Casino Walkerhill next year, widely considered to be the country’s premier poker destination.
Incheon’s Paradise City hosted its first event in 2016, attracting over 1,200 entries and US$550,000 in cash prizes across the nine-day poker festival.
