Lotte Tour’s Korean integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower reported casino revenues of KRW28.4 billion (US$21.4 million) in September, up 98.4% year-on-year although 13.7% lower sequentially. Non-gaming revenue fell by 13.9% year-on-year and 31.3% month-on-month to KRW6.81 billion (US$5.1 million).
The decline in gaming segment revenue was across the board, with table games revenue down 8.6% compared with August to KRW27.2 billion (US$20.5 million) and machine revenue by 60.8% to KRW1.26 billion (US$951,000).
Table drop of KRW129.4billion (US$97.6 million) was down 18.9% versus August although up 24.7% year-on-year.
For the first nine months of 2024 combined, casino revenue has reached KRW220.8 billion (US$167 million), up 120% year-on-year, while hotel revenue is down by 5.0% to KRW65.8 billion (US$49.7 million).
Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high and features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters, offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
