Inside Asian Gaming has announced that, as of the stroke of midnight on the morning of Thursday 17 August 2023 (Manila time), public nominations officially closed for the inaugural IAG Academy IR Awards, to be held at The Ballroom at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts, on the evening of Wednesday 13 September 2023.

The IAG team has been processing the nominations through the night and can now announce that a total of 432 public nominations were received for the Awards.

There has been unprecedented interest in the IAG Academy IR Awards, which will comprise 20 award categories separated into four divisions: Resort, Gaming, Corporate and Industry, followed by a special Hall of Honor ceremony honoring individuals in the Asia-Pacific Integrated Resort industry who have made or are making important industry contributions.

The team at IAG is working day and night to process the hundreds of nominations, and the Official Nominations will be announced this coming Monday 21 August, with judges to cast their votes between 31 August and 9 September.

Judging Panel Chairman and IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott said, “We’ve been overwhelmed at the sheer volume of nominations rolling in. It even crashed the iagacad.com website at one stage and it took us 30 minutes to get it back online. We’ve had nominations from all over Asia wherever IRs are found: Macau, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Korea, Vietnam and even Russia! We’ve also had many nominations for industry suppliers and their products.

“The creativity and hard work that has gone into creating PDFs and video to support the nominations has been inspiring. The competition is very hot and just to be selected as an Official Nominee will be an achievement to be proud of.”

All winners will be announced at a live in-person event with a black-tie gala dinner held in The Ballroom at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts, on the evening of Wednesday 13 September 2023.
