Macau’s gaming industry celebrated as one on Tuesday night as networking social Macau After Dark returned for the first time since COVID-19 border restrictions were eased in January.

Around 100 guests were on hand to enjoy the classy surrounds of the Mansion Lobby at Sofitel at Ponte 16, with operators, suppliers, legal eagles and everyone in between among those to enjoy the festivities.

A Lucky Draw also saw four guests win fabulous prizes courtesy of Sofitel at Ponte 16 and Macau SLOT, before enjoying some lively welcome speeches from each of our key sponsors. The speeches were delivered by Vinzenz Rosa de Pauli, General Manager at Sofitel at Ponte 16; Bevan White, Sales Manager – Asia Pacific for Light & Wonder; and Charles Seo, Senior Director Product Management – APAC for IGT.

Inside Asian Gaming thanks all of our sponsors for their generous support of this important industry event.

The return of Macau After Dark completed IAG’s maiden MAD “double-header” following the successful debut of Manila After Dark at Okada Manila last Thursday 20 April. IAG plans for both events to become regular additions to the industry calendar as we continue to bring people together across the region.

“We couldn’t be happier to have held our first ever Manila After Dark and to see many close industry friends again for the return of Macau After Dark,” said IAG Vice Chairman and CEO, Andrew W Scott.

“With borders open again, it was terrific to see a few familiar faces back in Macau for the first time in many years on Tuesday night and to see so many enjoying the evening in a far more relaxed setting than we’ve endured in recent times.

“We look forward to bringing you many more MADs in both Manila and Macau during 2023!”

IAG will announce dates and details for the next MAD double-header in the coming weeks.
