Four months after announcing it would cease providing electronic gaming equipment management services to Macau casinos, Hong Kong’s Success Dragon International Holdings Ltd has signed agreements to service EGMs in the slot halls of Grandview Casino and Casa Real Casino.

Both casinos are owned by Kingston Financial Group and operate under license from SJM Resorts, S.A.

Success Dragon said Friday its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ace Advantage Developments Limited, has entered into agreements to supply, set up and manage a minimum of 120 units of qualified slot and multi terminal machines and associated equipment for operations in the slot halls of Grandview and Casa Real.

In return it will receive a fixed percentage of net income on a monthly basis, calculated as gross gaming revenue derived from the slot machines minus taxes payable to the Macau government and a share paid to SJM.

Success Dragon had stated in early May that it would cease providing electronic gaming equipment management services to the two casinos when their previous contracts expired after suffering a 57.7% decline in revenue to just HK$17.8 million from the Outsourced Business Process Management segment during the six months to 31 December 2020.

However, it revealed Friday that, despite those contracts expiring on 30 April 2021 and 31 May 2021, operations of the segment have been ongoing due to the casino manager being unable to identify new suppliers to replace the group. As a result, the new contracts have been dated retrospectively to take effect from 30 April 2021 for Grandview Casino and 31 May 2021 for Casa Real Casino, to run for 13 months each with an option for another year.

Success Dragon said it “believes that the financial performance of the Outsourced Business Process Management will improve under a better market condition along the continued increase in vaccination rates and the gradual recovery of the tourism industry in Macau.”
