Suncity Group’s US$1 billion Philippines casino and hotel project will create a “new entertainment mecca” for Manila’s Entertainment City precinct, combining an array of internal and external leisure spaces with a Broadway shopping street and the tastes of Asia.

Inside Asian Gaming has been granted a sneak preview of the development following the news this week that Suncity will debut its own hotel brand as part of the Westside City Resorts World development.

Covering more than 20 hectares in the heart of Entertainment city, the project will feature a unique line design on its exterior to contrast light and shadow, while the hotel with over 450 rooms will include luxury rooms, premium suites, party rooms and loft suites around the concept of the sun, stars and the universe. According to Suncity, the idea is to make the integrated resort the coolest, trendiest and best party place to be in town.

Shopping street Broadway will offer popular fashion brands while those in need of a relaxing break can take advantage of an outdoor resort swimming pool to lounge by during the day or enjoy poolside parties at night. A famous nightclub brand is schedule to form part of the resort offering, as will a spa, theatres and bars.

F&B offerings will focus on innovative Japanese and Korean cuisine, authentic Chinese alongside local Filipino favorites.

According to Suncity, the main design and piling works of the project have now been completed and site construction works are currently underway ahead of a planned opening in 2023.
