NagaCorp boss Dr Chen Lip Keong donates US$5 million to Cambodia’s COVID-19 vaccine fund

NagaCorp Founder and Controlling Shareholder Dr Chen Lip Keong has become Cambodia’s largest individual donor to the fight against COVID-19 after donating US$5 million for the procurement of vaccins.

The Khmer Times reports that Dr Chen has given US$5 million of US$40 million in funds allocated to purchase vaccines by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.Cambodia is looking to vaccinate around 10 million of its citizens under the program.

“The contribution of Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Chen Lip Keong is invaluable and will always be remembered in the history of the people of Cambodia,” Prime Minister Hun Sen highlighted in a letter.

NagaCorp recently revealed that gross gaming revenues at NagaWorld in Phnom Penh had returned to 91% of pre-COVID levels since re-opening on 1 August 2020, led by mass market operations. The company reported GGR of US$609.9 million over the first nine months of 2020.
