Galaxy Entertainment Group says it has organized more than 50 different health, safety and virus prevention training courses for its employees as it looks to increase their knowledge in the face of COVID-19.
The courses, which are expected to see more than 100,000 participation counts and more than 350,000 training hours in April and May, have incorporated two primary types of training, Galaxy said – skills and knowledge development training and “broad range programs.”
Skills and knowledge development training is specifically targeted for operational team members from various departments such as Table and Electronic Games, Food and Beverage, Facilities Management Surveillance, Hotel Operations and Security, and is aimed at enhancing their service delivery, safety, compliance and technical skills.
Broad-range programs include courses on GEG’s mission, vision and values, health and safety, personal hygiene and wellbeing, workplace safety and professionalism.
Galaxy said it expects to have held close to 100 corporate training events for its team members by mid-2020.
“Through organizing these comprehensive training courses, GEG hopes to develop and engage its team members to work together, learn from each other and to strengthen the bond between them,” GEG said. “Up to 100 GEG executives will also participate in the training activities in support of the team members.”
