A 61-year-old woman has passed away after being pulled unconscious from a pool at The Ville Resort-Casino in Queensland, Australia over the weekend.
According to a report by ABC News, the woman was spotted by another guest at around 10.20am on Saturday morning before she was pulled from the pool and CPR administered. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but died on Monday night.
It is not believed the circumstances of her death are suspicious, reports claim.
A spokesperson for the Ville Resort-Casino said the property was “working with all authorities investigating the incident and is supporting the guest’s family through this difficult time. Our thoughts are with the guest and their family.”
The Forensic Crash Unit and Workplace Health and Safety are said to be investigating the incident.
