Macau concessionaire Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced it will support the government’s efforts to curb the city’s current COVID-19 outbreak by providing a tower of Grand Hyatt Macau at City of Dreams as a quarantine hotel.
Melco revealed on Thursday that Tower B1 of the Grand Hyatt will become a quarantine hotel for observation starting from 8 July.
The number of positive cases detected since Macau’s outbreak began on 18 June has now reached 1,215 with 128 detected in the 24 hours to midnight on Thursday morning.
Melco said it has also dispatched members of its volunteer team to the Tap Seac Stadium Caring Station to help guide and direct people taking nucleic acid tests test and is providing similar services at the Parenting Education Centre (Lakeside) Station including “maintaining order, helping with registration, providing on-site information material logistics and others.”
