Global gaming giant IGT has signed a six-year deal with Singapore Pools (Private) Limited to provide lottery services via its central lottery system Aurora.
The company announced on Tuesday morning (Asia time) that its subsidiary, IGT Global Services Limited, would work with Singapore’s lottery operator, deploying the new central system as well as Aurora Navigator, Data Connector and Aurora Anywhere. The deal extends a relationship between IGT and the Singapore Pools that began in 1986.
“Set up to provide a legal, safe and trusted avenue for people to place bets, Singapore Pools requires the sophistication, reliability and innovation that IGT’s Aurora central system provides to support the lottery’s significant number of daily transactions,” said IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Lottery, Jay Gendron.
“IGT’s service-oriented Aurora incorporates a suite of flexible solutions designed to manage, transform and further grow the lottery’s business. This best-in-class technology coupled with IGT’s longstanding lottery leadership will ensure Singapore Pools continues to channel its surpluses to good causes while offering a secure and responsible gaming environment for all.”
IGT explained that Aurora Navigator is designed to offer a single place to view, manage and administer all lottery applications and back-office functions; Data Connector is a plug-and-play platform for fast, efficient data integration and analysis; while Aurora Anywhere is a secure gateway which allows for external applications to connect to the core lottery system, creating opportunities for expanded game play.
