Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has become the latest of Macau’s concessionaires to offer leave to staff who need to accompany family members to receive their COVID-19 vaccines.
The company said it will offer paid Family Vaccine Leave and Special Vaccine Leave for team members accompanying children under 18 or parents aged 70 or over, with leave available from 7 March to 30 June.
Staff will be granted one day of Family Vaccine Leave per eligible vaccinated family member on the day of the vaccination. Additionally, GEG staff who receive any dose of vaccine during the same period can also enjoy a day of leave on the day of or following the vaccination.
GEG said almost 95% of its staff are now vaccinated after the company ran a series of promotional activities over the past year.
These have included inviting medical staff from the Health Bureau to host several Vaccine Information Seminars and to set up a vaccination point at Galaxy Macau on two separate occasions, the hosting of various roadshows in back-of-house areas, and over 500 departmental sharing sessions where fully-vaccinated staff shared their vaccine experience with colleagues.
“As a socially responsible corporation, GEG will continue to fully support and comply with the SAR Government’s related preventive measures” the company said.
“GEG would also like to take this opportunity to encourage team members and the public once again to get vaccinated as soon as possible to help minimize the risk of the spread of the virus in the Macau community, as well as ensuring personal and public health.”
