Nagasaki prefecture has announced it will hold public briefings dubbed “Kyushu/Nagasaki IR Operations Explanatory Sessions” for local residents on 15 and 17 December as part of the process for its IR bid.
Nagasaki prefecture will host the briefings while Casinos Austria International Japan will provide an overview of operations as the planned developer and operating partner. There will be time alotted for questions and answers.
A session for local businesses was also held on 18 November in the candidate city of Sasebo with Casinos Austria in attendance.
Last month’s briefing session was hosted by the Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Takuya Kaneko), and more than 1,000 attendees gathered, including representatives from local companies, those from outside the prefecture and officials from local governments.
Regarding this next round of sessions, a Nagasaki representative said, “We are holding [these sessions] in order to deepen the understanding of everyone in the prefecture as we proceed in IR preparations.”
The schedule is as follows:
- Wed 15 December, 2pm to 3:30pm: Arkas Sasebo Medium Hall. Capacity: 200
- Fri 17 December, 2pm to 3:30pm: Nagasaki JA Building 7th Floor. Capacity: 180
