NIKI Chyau Fwu (Parkview) Group has announced another 10 local Kyushu businesses as partners in its bid to develop an IR facility in Nagasaki’s Sasebo city.
The consortium comprises an array of local businesses, including Ikeda Design, Clean Mat, Dual Key System, Fujioka, Nagasaki Security, Sakura, Kyushu Building Environment Center, Media Box and Kasyu Kogyo.
Earlier this month NIKI Chyau Fwu (Parkview) Group confirmed three local Japanese construction firms – Hazama Ando Corporation, Okumura Corporation based out of Osaka and Tanigawa Kensetsu – as its initial partners.
“The Kyushu/Nagasaki IR resort that the NIKI Chyau Fwu (Parkview) Group is planning will not only develop the tourism industry but will also come with great opportunities for local SMEs,” the company said.
“Further, experts with diverse specializations will be trained and hired in unprecedent numbers, having further impacts such as a boost in the local population of young people. The project will promote the business development and revitalization of the region and we expect there to be a significant economic ripple effect.”
The NIKI Chyau Fwu (Parkview) Group is made up of THE NIKI, operator of Niki Club, to provide hospitality services, and Chyau Fwu, a conglomerate with its roots in construction and development, founded in Taiwan in the 1950s. It is aiming for regional revitalization in Japan via realization of its Kyushu/Nagasaki IR which it has envisaged as a super smart community in Omura Bay making full use of cutting-edge technology.
Two other groups have qualified for Nagasaki’s secondary screening in Oshidori Consortium, led by Oshidori International Holdings Limited alongside Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, and Casinos Austria International Japan.
The three candidates are due to provide a presentation in August with the final screening results to be announced later that month based on the current schedule.
