Inside Asian Gaming’s innovative GAME platform played host to its first joint event on Tuesday night as IAG and SiGMA Group presented, “What Asia’s land-based casinos can learn from Europe’s iGaming boom.”
A healthy audience of 127 people registered for the event, which saw IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott and SiGMA Group CEO Eman Pulis discuss a variety of topical issues related to iGaming in Asia. Participants were then treated to a 20-minute AMA (Ask Me Anything) session in which both speakers fielded a variety of questions “from the floor.”
Topics discussed included the European iGaming experience, which covered the growth of the iGaming across the continent and the current regulatory landscape, what might and might not work in Asia and what real opportunities exist in Asia for online gaming operators.
The event attracted a mix of viewers from across the global gaming landscape, with 29% of attendees stating they had a material interest in both the land-based and iGaming industries. Around 20% of attendees also stated they were viewing from Europe, with 80% from Asia-Pacific.
GAME – short for Gaming Asia Mega Experience – is IAG’s response to the challenges posed to the Asian gaming industry by the COVID-19 pandemic and recognition of the difficulties faced in bringing the industry together at a time when we need to collaborate and develop innovative ideas more than ever before.
Details of GAME 3, including IAG’s next special guest speaker, will be announced this week. GAME 3 will be held next Tuesday 2 June 2020.
