Regional casino aspirant Rush Street Japan sponsored the charity bingo game at the 53rd Tomakomai Skate Festival on 2 and 3 February 2019.
The Tomakomai Skate Festival traces its roots back to 1967 and remains a community-based event, organized by and for local residents.
In an announcement late last week, Rush Street said it was “delighted to contribute” to the event as a member of the community.
Rush Street Japan formally launched its Tomakomai office on 5 December 2018 in its pursuit of an IR license and has since been focused on “getting to know the city and to better understanding the views of local residents.”
The company also launched an online survey platform called “My Tomakomai” at the end of last year to collect the opinions of local residents.
Money raised through the charity bingo game at Tomakomai Skate Festival will be donated directly towards disaster relief efforts in response to the earthquake that struck the region in September last year,” the Rush Street added.
“This is another great opportunity for us to get to know and interact with the local community,” said Chief Financial Officer Tim Drehkoff.
“We understand that it has been a challenging time for those affected by the earthquake and we’d like show our support for disaster efforts to bring about a speedy recovery.”
