Korean foreigner-only casino operator Paradise Co has enjoyed a slight 0.9% year-on-year revenue increase in September, led by 37.4% growth in electronic gaming machines (EGMs).
The company announced on Thursday revenue of KRW53.1 billion for the month, up from KRW52.6 billion in September 2017. Table game revenue actually fell slightly to KRW49.5 billion but Paradise Co moved into positive growth for the month thanks to revenue of KRW3.6 billion from EGMs, up from KRW2.6 billion. Table games were impacted by bad luck, with September table drop growing 6.0% to KRW489.2 billion.
While September growth was slow, revenue for the first nine months of 2018 increased 17.0% to KRW462.4 billion, with table games up 16.9% to KRW430.4 billion. Table drop over the same period grew 12.4% to KRW4.2 billion.
Paradise Co’s revenue is calculated from four properties – Paradise City in Incheon, Paradise Walker-hill, Busan and Jeju Grand.
