David Heap is to step down as TCSJOHNHUXLEY Group Chief Executive on 1st March 2012. From that date he will take on a new role as advisor to the portfolio of companies and business interests held by TCSJOHNHUXLEY’s controlling shareholders the Knutsson family.
“The Knutsson family and the board would like to take this opportunity of thanking David for his excellent work and leadership over the past 15 years taking the group forward and shaping it to the formidable business it is today,” said TCSJOHNHUXLEY in a statement.
Mr Heap became CEO of the TCS part of the business in 1996, charged with introducing a string of new and influential products to the gaming market. In 2003 he was instrumental in bringing about a merger between TCS and John Huxley to create TCSJOHNHUXLEY. He has since steered that company to become a global leader in the manufacture and supply of live table gaming products and services.
“David is a true professional who has provided strong leadership and a great deal of knowledge and experience to his role,” said Bertil Knutsson, Chairman of Knutsson Holdings AB, in a statement.
“He has undoubtedly established excellent foundations for the company to continue to grow and prosper. We wish him much success in all his future endeavours,” added Mr Knutsson.
“It has been both a pleasure and a great opportunity to be part of TCSJOHNHUXLEY and I would like to thank the Knutsson family, the board and all the staff for their support over the last 15 years,” said Mr Heap.
