Malaysia’s Genting Group says it is on track to open its US$4 billion flagship Resorts World Las Vegas project in 2020.
“We are still tracking initial opening by end of 2020,” spokesman Michael Levoff told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in response to questions about progress, with analysts suggesting last week that 2021 appeared a more reasonable timeline for launch.
Resorts World Las Vegas, being built on an 87-acre site at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, will comprise more than 3,400 hotel rooms across three hotel towers and a gaming floor covering 100,000 square feet. The Chinese-themed resort will also boast a 30,000 square foot lake surrounded by a Chinese garden.
Genting last year appointed W.A. Richardson Builders, LLC as Construction Manager for the ground-up stage of construction of Resorts World Las Vegas.
