Josh Landis: ClubsNSW is the industry association for clubs. We provide a range of services from political advocacy and representation to workplace relations and a range of other ac t i v i t i es , such as event s , l earn i ng and deve l opment , marketing and more. That’s on behalf of our roughly 1,150 members in NSW and about $5.5 billion in revenue per year from those clubs. As well as being CEO of ClubsNSW, I’m also Executive Director of Clubs Australia. We run Clubs Australia out of the ClubsNSW office and we represent clubs nationally. BB: Why are clubs so important to the fabric of Aussie society? JL: Because we are unique in the world when it comes to our structure and it’s what makes us different fundamentally from casinos and pubs because we are a not-for-profit industry.
